NCQLP
NCQLP - Lighting Practitioner's Lighting
Between the weekly sessions, you are required to spend 4 to 6 hours of reading and preparation. This
study group is practical and oriented for those with 5 years of lighting experience and who have taken
ED-100 and ED-150, or equivalent.
Those who pass the NCQLP exam become Lighting Certified (LC) and will be able to show their clients that they have lighting credentials that are recognized across
North America. Within the United States, many federal and state projects require an NCQLP certified lighting professional on he design team. Will it happen in Canada? We don't
know but, why take the chance? Besides, a good education never hurts and may set you apart from your
competitors.
The sign-up dates and fees for the NCQLP exam are set by NCQLP.
You need to register directly with NCQLP to
take the examination - this is totally separate from the BC Section's study group.
The BC Section's Lighting Practitioner's Study Group is designed to help you prepare for the NCQLP examination.
This is a seven week study session, with a facilitator. Each session will run 2 1/2 hours and will
follow a defined review process.
This is not a lecture series but 7 weeks of group participation. The facilitator will lead the discussion, but all participants are expected to contribute to each session. There is a great deal of reading and preparation for each class. All the reading material will be provided for you.
The more you put into the class, the more you will get out of it.
Please Note :
You must register & pay by the deadline to write the exam this November:
